From Central Park to Broadway, Al Pacino’s role in Merchant of Venice is being lauded as the year’s greatest on stage character. The Merchant of Venice is one of William Shakespeare’s best works, and Merchant of Venice tickets have never moved as fast as they are right now. The inclusion of Al Pacino as Shylock is doubtless the main reason, but the suspense and romance of Merchant of Venice is a global phenomenon and involves all cast members. Shylock’s Jewish ethnicity and the friction it creates with the prejudiced merchant, Antonio. The famous “pound of flesh” that moneylender Shylock demands from his nemesis is the best-known line from the Merchant of Venice, but you’ll hear plenty of other gems too, when you buy Merchant of Venice tickets. As is often the case – on the stage and in life itself – it is a woman who restores order to the situation. The woman is the legendary Portia, for whom the “quality of mercy is not strained.” You’ll have to buy Merchant of Venice tickets to find out how this fine mess resolves itself, or if it ever does. You can be guaranteed they’re worth every penny. Consult the show dates for Merchant of Venice Broadway and drink in the richness and drama of a world-class production.

Pacino takes to the stage at the Broadhurst Theatre following the play’s 8-week run in Manhattan’s Central Park during the “Shakespeare in the Park” festival and you can bet he is feeling ready to really sink his teeth into the challenge. Once the Merchant of Venice schedule kicks off at the Broadhurst tickets will be sold out just as they were at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park for the “In the Park” festival.
